Brain Jig for DU’s KIHA Lab

Human Brains?!

Yes, human brains. The Knoebel Institute of Healthy Aging (KIHA) is a lab at DU that focuses on treating degenerative brain diseases. They contacted me to create jigs that enable consistent cross-sectional cuts through brains of many different sizes.

While only the prototypes are shown in the pictures (oops!), I made 10 of these jigs for the KIHA lab and many labs that they partner with.
