Germany, 2019 Fall
I went and visited my friend Lane while he was studying abroad in Berlin! I ate my fair share of Döner kebabs and schnitzel as well as catching a few matches of the world champion LoL team FPX during the World Finals Group Stage.
Italy, 2019 Fall
Another extended weekend, I met up with my good friend Cady, who was studying in Rome at the time. As translator, she helped me order two of the best meals in my life. We stayed at an Airbnb lemon orchard in the small town of Minori and explored Mt. Vesuvius and Naples with our extra time.
Dubai, 2019 Christmas
It took me long enough to get close to this part of the family! They showed me all around Dubai and even parts of Abu Dhabi. I got to go shopping in the souks, take some old school boat taxis across the canals, as well as see the modern engineering feats of present-day Dubai. Not a snow covered Christmas, but much more memorable!
Scotland, 2020 Spring
After taking some trains through UK countryside, I made my way over to Glasgow, where I met up once more with a friend from DU who was studying abroad. Drew and I hiked Beinn Dubh, tried haggis in every form that it comes in, and learned what real Scotch is.
Ireland, 2020 Spring
In Ireland, I met up with two friends I’ve known since I was very little. Vincent and Olivia were just finishing up a study abroad term in Scotland and an internship in Italy, respectively. We spent a few days in Dublin before moving up to Belfast and exploring all that Northern Ireland has to offer.
